"I didn't think I could talk about that." Using the MACI-II and M-PACI to build alliance and therapeutic dialogue in a Collaborative/Therapeutic Assessment framework
Presenter: Dr. Seth Grossman, Psy.D.
Date: January 19, 2024
Continuing the exploration of Millon Evolutionary Theory and therapeutic/CTA applications, this webinar focuses on the adolescent and pre-adolescent applications involving the MACI-II and the M- PACI. It also explores relevant developmental/attachment considerations that parallel the core theory. As with the preceding MCMI-IV webinar, this presentation will explore the translation of theoretical principles to relatable, collaborative language that may help to engage adolescents in building curiosity, empowering their self-reflection, and investing in the overall CTA process. Through a review of the core elements of the theory and the instruments’ measures, the webinar seeks to illuminate means of drawing out and understanding adolescent dilemmas and challenges in a developmentally-attuned manner.
Helping Clients Find Resilience and Normalcy in Troubled Times: A Millon Inventories Perspective Webinar
COVID-19 has had a profound effect on the psychological assessment field, while simultaneously setting the stage for severe mental health consequences. This webinar focuses on how personality assessment, in particular with the Millon instruments but applicable to a broad range of assessments, can go beyond the thoughtful and prudent guidelines recently established for teleassessment to accomplish vital therapeutic goals, possibly more effectively than therapy/teletherapy alone. Dr. Grossman will provide an aspirational collaborative framework for using information from the MCMI-IV and MACI-II to help clients gain a more equitable sense of self in uncertain times, help identify and re-establish a sense of normalcy, and seek to promote resilience and avert mental health crises.

Introducing the Millon Adolescent Clinical Inventory – II (MACI-II)
Recorded on: Wednesday, April 29, 2020
The Millon Adolescent Clinical Inventory – II (MACI-II) was specifically developed to address the unique concerns, pressures, and situations that today’s teenagers face. This webinar introduces clinicians to the updates to the MACI-II, such as several new clinical scales and validity measures, the modified scoring system, and revamped treatment guides. A case study will be presented to illustrate the instrument’s interpretive steps, with a systematic review of the different sections, including the clinical scales, diagnostic considerations, noteworthy responses, and treatment guides.

Contextual Interpretation of the MCMI-IV: Using a Case Study
Presenter: Seth Grossman, Psy.D.
Recorded on: July 21, 2016
The Millon® Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-IV (MCMI-IV) was designed to facilitate the therapeutic plans of the clinician. This webinar will use a case study to describe how an understanding of Dr. Theodore Millon’s evolutionary theory enhances interpretation of MCMI-IV profiles and how the data are used to make treatment recommendations. A sample report will be used to illustrate the steps for interpreting the MCMI-IV. By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to analyze MCMI-IV reports to describe a patient’s personality patterns, clinical syndromes, and therapeutic needs.
